Job Description
- Directly reports to Membership Director.
- Full Time Status, Exempt - 40 hours per week.
- Coordinate the development, data compilation, implementation and maintenance of all Club communication activities including but not limited to the monthly newsletter, Club event ads, website, additional signage, eMarketing, and other marketing communication activities. Provides administrative support to the Membership Director.
Monthly Club’s Express newsletter:
- Creates design and layout of Club newsletter.
- Coordinates writers, editors and others who assist with the Club’s monthly newsletter (i.e. Maintain timely contact with in house personnel, current members, prospective members, external client, advertisers and designers).
- Writes, composes, or edits the Club’s newsletter articles; collects, organizes, and submits all copy for production on a timely basis, proofs contents for corrections and changes; responsible for design and layout of page format and cover design.
- Schedules magazine advertisements with production deadlines; collects all camera‐ready ads and rough layout with copy.
- Organizes and maintains historical and working files including Club publications, advertisements, and event photos.
- Establishes and creates print materials for Club events and other aspects of the Club (i.e. new and prospective member promotional pieces, menus, athletic tournament entries, in‐house signage, etc.).
- Supervises development of the Club’s communications program.
- Oversees all direct and eMarketing mailings including composition, data compilation, design, and printing.
- Takes photos at all major Club events for use in Club publications including the website
- Maintain Club event photo database.
- Maintain all members photos for Club website (including monthly upload of new member photos and photo revisions).
- Assemble membership packets for Membership Director and Front Desk distributions (as needed).
- Assembles membership committee meeting packets.
- Type monthly membership letters according to monthly agenda (notations provided by Membership Director.
- Assist with assembly of new member packets (Catering packet insert, Membership Handbook).
- Completes other special projects and/or assignments as directed by the Membership Director.
- Serves as primary point of contact for the Club’s newsletter, eNewsletter (email blast), in‐house signage, and website.
- Attends and supports Club events as scheduled.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Exceptional telephone etiquette and hospitality service.
- Excellent writing and graphic skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign Cs2, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Publisher, and the Internet.
- Requires creativity, alertness and strong attention to details.
- Highly organized, able to multi‐task, and prioritize in order to meet deadlines.
- Desktop publishing and direct mail.
- Working knowledge of social media outlets.
- College degree preferred; On the job training.
