Assists in reporting, data, analytics, trading, department projects, and process improvements as prioritized by management. May serve as support in other areas of the Secondary Department as needed.
EXPECTATIONS
- Coordinates and facilitates the setup, delivery, and settlement of HMBS pools to manage the loan inventory in collaboration with internal stakeholders (e.g. treasury, accounting, operations, etc.) to ensure proper delivery and accounting of HMBS sales.
- Prepares reports on pool sales, loan inventory, channel margins, and historical performance.
- Maintains and distributes pricing grids to internal and external parties.
- Supports and maintains loan level pricing engines in consultation with management.
- Automates daily tasks to improve efficiencies with execution and pricing related data flow.
- Develops a deep understanding of the mortgage banking industry – from mortgage origination to sale of the asset.
- Monitors mortgage market trends.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in mortgage banking or related financial services sector.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Programming experience in SQL, Python, or VBA.
- Mathematical acumen.
- Ability to consistently demonstrate very high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
COMPENSATION
The base salary range for this position is ($58,000 - $87,000), inclusive of all geographical differences in the labor market. The base salary for the position will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members in determining any final offer.
