Key Responsibilities:
The role of a financial accountant, as well as the reporting responsibilities, will incorporate upskilling in multi-currency cash accounting and will partner with Marken’s outside service provider to support the following tasks.
For the reporting entities assigned to the accountant, the key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Maintaining and reconciling Oracle secondary ledgers to Oracle USGAAP primary ledgers, including posting journals required for local statutory reporting in the secondary ledgers.
ensuring all necessary accounting information and records are provided to the local accounting firm and reconciling local books to Oracle records (Primary and, where applicable, Secondary ledgers).
Either working directly with our audit partners or via EY audit support services, supporting the audit work to ensure all required information, analysis, reconciliation and reporting is provided accurately and on time.
Supporting the Manager in advising on technical accounting and financial reporting issues and the implication on the Group’s financial statements.
The position will also include other areas of financial accounting, primarily in cash accounting. This is required as part of Marken’s continued support in providing cross skilling opportunities to all new joiners.
To review banking- and cash-related activities and associated GL postings,
Uploading of bank statements; review of journal entries, approving bank and cash-related GL journals including those for bank interest, bank fees, forex, intercompany settlements, loans and accruals.
Preparing supporting documentation for month end balance sheet account reconciliations.
The position will assist with overseeing daily funding activities for country outside of cash pooling structures ensuring enough liquidity is within the country for business needs for the Marken business.
