We work with both emerging and established fund managers and independent sponsors and often act as a highly meaningful limited partner securing better investment terms on behalf of our investors. Over the last few years, we have partnered with many sponsors and invested hundreds of millions of dollars across various private equity, real asset, and private credit strategies.
Fund Accounting Associate
We are actively seeking a local qualified Associate to assist our Fund Accounting team in the monitoring, forecasting, and accounting of our investment vehicles. This role will report to the Fund Accounting Manager and support the various individuals in the organization. Candidates need to be residents of Atlanta or surrounding areas as in-person office attendance is required 4 days a week.
What you will do:
- Prepare supporting work papers for financial statements, portfolio schedules, and capital account allocations
- Manage cash flows and capital activity to minimize cash drag and maximize yield/total return
- Liaise with external accountants to prepare and review financial statements and footnote disclosures
- Analytical review of monthly and quarterly investment and fund performance data
- Review and/or prepare capital calls, distributions, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare management and incentive fee calculations
- Prepare ad hoc reports and investor correspondence
- Ensure compliance with legal documents
- Communicate with investor contacts, fund administrators, auditors, tax, lawyers, and banking personnel
- Assist in yearly financial statement audits and K-1 preparation process
What you will need:
- 2+ years Fund Accounting, public accounting, audit, or tax experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience leading verbal and written communications at senior levels with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize, track and manage multiple fund vehicles
- Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling experience
- Excellent writing skills to prepare complete and accurate reporting
- Strong data management skills with significant attention to detail
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of the broader team
