About This Role:
The Manufacturing Supervisor supervises a manufacturing work area in accordance with scheduled manufacturing build requirements and performance standards. Leads employees to ensure team efficiencies and quality in the manufacturing of products.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:
- Communicates, trains, guides and coaches employees to achieve operational initiatives that optimize team efforts in the manufacturing of high quality products.
- Provides hands-on supervision of manufacturing floor personnel. Identifies and recommends training and development opportunities to drive a culture of teamwork with high quality output. Continuously communicates operational standards and process improvement initiatives to the staff. Gives feedback and direction to low performers and recognition and praise to high performers. Clearly communicates how each employee contributes to the success of the team in achieving excellent KPI results.
- Schedules and assigns personnel to work according to the demand of the manufacturing schedules. Continually assesses the limitations of equipment capacity and materials supply to directly adjust personal for optimization of manufacturing output. Assesses each employee’s abilities and skills to match with capabilities required for each area of the manufacturing floor.
- Continuously monitors and tracks output, manufacturing processes, labor efficiencies, direct operating expenses, and quality indicators for assigned cost centers. Measures performance and quality and drives positive results in operational KPIs. Recommends adjustments to processes and resolutions to issues. Reports on these KPIs to the manager.
- Tracks manufacturing expenses against the budget and recommends measures for cost reduction as well as any need for additional supplies, equipment, and personnel.
- Establishes and builds working relationships with other departmental personnel, such as Planning, Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, and Quality, to meet production schedules and resolve difficult or continuing problems and initiate continuous improvement efforts. Meets regularly on a formal basis with such groups to review production results and improvement priorities.
- Provides support and assistance when needed in all areas of the department. Keeps work area clean and orderly.
Education/Training Required and Preferred:
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience Required and Preferred:
- Minimum three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory role.
What You Bring:
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to communicate clear expectations to inspire, energize, and motivate the team. Understanding of employee training and development.
- Knowledge of manufacturing methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma.
- Ability to develop, implement, and improve KPI metrics through strong data analysis and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Profit & Loss statements, cost accounting, cash flow, capital management, budgeting, and other financial concepts routinely used in planning and measuring manufacturing performance.
- Skilled in data-driven decision-making including the ability to collect, analyze, and present statistically valid data, such as cost, capacity, ROI, yield, utilization, and efficiencies.
- Knowledge of OSHA and other related safety requirements for manufacturing industry.
- Requires moderate computer skills with ability to use Windows programs for word processing, spreadsheet, and database management.
- Must be well-disciplined, self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work as member of team.
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
