Summary:
A Manufacturing Production Control Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the Production Control activities within a manufacturing facility. As a Manufacturing Production Control Supervisor, you will plan, coordinate, and control the production workflow to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing processes. Your role will involve collaboration with various departments to optimize production schedules, monitor inventory levels, and implement improvements in production processes.
Responsibilities:
- Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely customer deliveries and optimal production capacity utilization.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to align with production demands.
- Quality Control Oversight: Coordinate with quality assurance teams to maintain adherence to internal and external quality standards.
- Resource Management: Allocate labor, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet production schedules.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor production staff, set performance standards, conduct evaluations, and facilitate training programs.
- Coordination with Other Departments: Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales departments to ensure alignment of production activities with company goals.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and regulations in the production area.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Resolve production issues and equipment malfunctions to minimize production disruptions.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed production reports and records for decision-making and analysis.
- Budget Management: Manage the production budget, including labor, materials, and other operational costs.
- Customer Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding manufacturing timelines and product specifications.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure production activities comply with relevant industry standards and government regulations.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or at least 2 years of equivalent work experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Proven experience in Production Control, planning, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and production planning software
- Leadership and team management abilities
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
- Standing for your entire shift.
