Production Control / Returns Specialist

We currently have an open opportunity for a Production Control/ Returns Associate at our Facility located in Bradley, IL.

Essential Functions of this Position:

Qualified individuals to perform the following duties:

• Evaluate and process customer requests for returned material
• Coordinate and manager vendor returns
• Develop production schedules to optimize throughput, raw material levels, and achieve a smooth process flow while meeting customer shipment dates
• Plan and direct the activities of planning, inventory control, and assurance of meeting shipment targets
• Provides functional support for production scheduling related issues
• Responsible for the generation of SAP reports to audit various manufacturing transactions and plant processes
• Monitor work order adherence – data collection, data review, and expedite parts as necessary
• Analyze shortages – Track Backorder parts and shortages – keep information up to date
• Ensure ERP and other planning tools are used to enable accurate interpretation of demand, including capacity planning, demand profiles and scenario planning
• Plan, release, schedule, and track manufacturing work orders
• Review material requirements planning (MRP)
• Communicate effectively with our cross-functional partners in Assembly, Fabrication, Machining, Quality, Customer Service, Stockroom, and Engineering.
• Analyze work methods, sequences, etc. identify opportunities for improvement. Use problem solving skills to resolve issues and improve manufacturing processes
• Help set priorities / “hot jobs” for fabrication department to ensure assembly departments have all of the parts they need to complete their assemblies in an efficient manner.

Requirements:

*Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, Associate Degree + 2 years applicable experience, or 5 years applicable experience.

Strongly Preferred:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
• Proficient in MRP/ERP systems - SAP
• Strong Communication Skills
• Excellent organizational and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow established policies and procedures
• Willing to learn, train and grow
• Highly effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
• Ability to identify and eliminate potential problem areas with an “out of the box” approach

*This is a full-time, Hourly position with benefits.
