POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for manufacturing and/or inspection of product to meet daily customer demand and the production schedule. This challenging position places elevated expectations on consistency in following the Company's quality system. It requires the Production Operator to be able to read/interpret specifications/requirements and identify when errors and issues as they are identified and adhere to cGMP. The Production Operator must be a team-player, effective communicator, and be efficient. The most critical aspect to this position is an unwavering dedication to the quality of the product produced for our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Proven competence to manufacture more than one product or run more than one process on various equipment.
- Perform inspections and testing of components and subassemblies according to defined criteria using standard physical or mechanical measurements.
- General knowledge of Performance Metrics for the assigned production line, which may include operational performance standards, utilization, efficiency, output and scrap/yield.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, (WOR/MOP), specifications, Bill of Material on WOR, gathering parts/materials and tools.
- Manufacture basic components and subassemblies per WOR utilizing equipment specified on the WOR.
- Set-up and operate equipment in accordance with cGMP and SOP's
- Control and adjust machine settings within established or qualified ranges. Maintain a working knowledge of equipment in assigned area.
- Read and interpret specifications and drawings.
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Lead
- Comply with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements of Company
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures.
- Accurate documentation and ownership of work completed including documenting the results of inspections/testing.
- Reject subassemblies as required per QOP-0009.
- Requires general supervision from Production Lead on processes and WOR Operations.
- Collect hazardous or non-hazardous waste per procedures.
- Participation in engineering builds and specialized project requests.
- The employee is required to install, read, interpret, and monitor the time & temperature charts.
- The employee is required to set, verify, and adjust equipment parameters (i.e. temperature or pressure range)
YIELD EXPECTATIONS:
- Yield performance greater than 90% for component and/or subassembly products produced.
- Less than 4 errors annually (requiring reopening of a closed WOR) on WOR Operations completed by the Production Operator II
- Efficiency of greater than 85% on established product lines
- A minimum of 5 total per year, of process improvements and lean manufacturing improvement suggestions, which are identified and implemented.
QUALITY REQUIREMENTS:

- Participate in AER/CAPA investigation annually
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for working.
HIRING GUIDELINES:
- High School diploma and 2-5 years of related experience or combination of education and experience.
- Read and comprehend procedures, drawings, and specifications written in English.
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Time Management skills
- Proven ability to work with hand tools.
- Proven working knowledge of measurement instruments.
- Ability to use processing equipment including the verification of equipment settings
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel Basics
- Teamwork Skills
- Good written and oral communications skills
- Proven Medical Device/component manufacturing experience preferred
- Familiarity with personal computers preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Constantly use hands to finger, handle or feel
- Frequently sit, stand, walk, and reach within hands and arm's length.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, rarely lift up to 50 pounds.

The employee will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as: safety glasses in the designated areas, hairnet, beard net, clean room garments which may include a hood, gloves when handling hot objects or solvents and when handling products, jumpsuit, and/or earplugs (when needed) on production floor.
TOOLS/EQUIPMENT/COMPUTER SOFTWARE:
The employee will constantly use PC with Microsoft Office.
