Manufacturing Maintenance Technician -
2nd Shift - Monday - Thursday 4pm - 2am - $26/HR
Maintenance Technician MAJOR GOALS:
Ensure that strategic Manufacturing Maintenance assignments are completed effectively and efficiently.
Ensure the maintenance of equipment, molds, and facility is performed timely and satisfactorily.
Support and promote all policies.
Promote a positive attitude.
Maintenance Technician RESPONSIBLITIES:
Meet maintenance goals in a manner which facilitates the priorities of the manufacturing schedule.
Follow the priorities of the maintenance manager.
Assist QC in ensuring quality of products by promoting open communication.
Assist in troubleshooting processing problems.
Assist in set-up and installation of equipment and machinery.
Promote and support management decisions and policies.
Communicate effectively with all employees.
Possess and promote a positive attitude.
Promote, support, and encourage the quality process.
Effectively participate in solving quality problems with managers, quality control, supervisors and operators.
Effectively provide feedback to inspectors and other supervisors regarding quality issues.
Promote and encourage safety policies and practices.
Perform all maintenance activities in a manner which follows the safety policy.
Assist all employees in ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
Maintenance Technician KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
3 years minimum experience in manufacturing for similar field.
Computer PC skills.
Ability to install motors and various drives.
Ability to use electrical instruments such as a volt/ohm meter. Working knowledge of high/low voltage electrical power distribution including understanding of transformer switchgear and its use.
Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers and gauges.
Understanding of complex AC/DC electrical control circuits including the ability to read electrical schematics for all types of machines and ability to wire machines to print.
Understanding of PLC/PC control including the ability to determine machine function through PLC program; ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical problems within any PLC controlled system; ability to read ladder logic and monitor PLCs and the ability to read flow logic and monitor PC base systems.
Ability to read pneumatic schematics and to install/modify pneumatic plumbing and valving.
Ability to read hydraulic schematics and to install/modify hydraulic plumbing, accumulators and valving.
Possess an understanding of the importance and significance of producing a quality product in a safe manner.
Possess the ability to communicate well (both written and orally) with all employees in the organization.
Understanding of human interactions.

The physical demands include full manual dexterity compatible with work processes in a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, walk, talk and hear. Occasionally, the employee must lift or move up to 50 pounds and have the physical ability to stand, stoop, crawl, kneel and crouch.
