Schedule:
The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm. Weekends and nights may be required due to project demands. This position is 100% onsite.
Objective:
Maximize equipment efficiency, capacity, and availability through data acquisition and analysis, hardware and\or software development and installation, and hands-on troubleshooting and repairs of electrical and control systems. This position will contribute to the development of and customization of our custom, standard control system.
Administrative Responsibilities (if applicable):
- Perform project management function for customer projects including, need identification, scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
- Develop and write documentation as required, to include project plans and SOPs
- Track and compile data to produce results through summary reports, audits, traceability matrices, etc.
Safety Requirements: Must adhere to all GMPs, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise for solving process issues that cause downtime within production
- Maximize equipment efficiency and\or capacity through the development of automatic metrics data acquisition and storage.
- Analyze metrics data to create actionable insights that reveal equipment, process, and\or human inefficiencies.
- Development software and\or hardware control system modifications that efficiently and effectively address inconsistencies that may arise.
- Maximize equipment availability through the development of automatic metrics data acquisition and storage that predict or improve the prediction of equipment and\or component failure before it occurs.
- Assist the Maintenance Department with troubleshooting and potentially repairing complex electrical and controls problems.
- Assist in customizing control systems for new production equipment and fully integrate the control system.
- Analyze process requirements through data acquisition and interpretation to recommend new equipment and processes.
- Identify required equipment and\or process modifications or acquisitions through system analysis and research.
- Fulfill all above Objectives within required timelines and\or budgeted resource allocations.
- Perform other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-year college degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of related experience
- Manufacturing experience, required
- Strong PLC and HMI programming experience
- Project management experience, strongly preferred
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work in a cold environment (33 degrees) for extended periods
