Job Description Summary

Dynamic engineering position associated with updating and advancement of manufacturing processes focused on stability, cycle reduction and operational safety. Work closely with design engineering, quality, and production teams to bring innovative solutions to manufacturing environment, ensuring operations are Lean, agile, and cutting edge. Work with precision CNC machining centers and the latest CAD/CAM technology to produce critical infrastructure components powering the world.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Control and maintain production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.
  • Implement and maintain manufacturing methods to support the Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost priorities.
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Uses own judgement and suggests solutions within boundaries drawing on prior experience for straightforward tasks with guidance when needed.
  • Regular participation in monthly Lean Kaizen events to support the Lean Roadmap.
  • Support New Product Introduction.
  • Support CNC processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university (or a high school diploma/GED and at least 2 years of manufacturing or operations experience).

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, time management and organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with NC Programming/CAM.
  • Basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

The base pay range for this position is  $66,000.00 -$75,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for  5% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. ​
