The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes by analyzing product and manufacturing methods. In addition, this position requires maintaining quality and safety standards, document control, and supporting the engineering needs of all manufacturing operations. This position will be heavily involved in New Product Development Activities.
Position Type: Direct hire
Shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm (Monday – Friday) with some flexibility.

Manufacturing Engineer – Job Description
* Support Sales Department throughout the manufacturing process and obtaining new business.
* Design and develop all manufacturing tooling. (Mold/Trim, Press, CNC, Assembly, etc.)
* Provide drawings, models, and all necessary engineering documents for all manufacturing operations.
* Create CNC programs for tooling and production machines.
* Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
* Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
* Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing processes and manufacturing methods.
* Assure product and process quality by designing test methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, establishing standards, confirming manufacturing processes.
* Provide manufacturing decision making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
* Collaborate with outside sources for tooling design, design simulation, and tooling production as needed.
Required experience (Qualifications):
* Manufacturing Engineering experience : 5 + years
* Plastic Thermoforming or Plastic Injection molding experience (Preferred)
* Experience designing and develop manufacturing tooling/new product development
* Experience with equipment repairs is a plus
* Experience developing and evaluating manufacturing processes
* CNC programming experience – someone with a working knowledge/knows what it is and understands “G” code, that can use the software to generate a program
* Software knowledge and experience (Fusion 360 preferred).
* 5 years of CAD experience
* Blueprint reading (the ability to write a blueprint from scratch)
* Adaptability to learn new software systems
* Experience or the ability to learn how to operate a 3D scanner
* Understanding of cost structures/margins
* Proficient with completing documentation
* Proficient with Microsoft Suite and Excel
* Good interpersonal skills and communication skills
