Position Summary:
In this role, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes, increasing productivity, and reducing costs. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and Product Development & Engineering, to identify opportunities for process improvements, develop manufacturing solutions, and implement changes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and process engineering, with experience in a variety of manufacturing methods, tools, and techniques.
Reporting Relationships:
The Manufacturing Engineer will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and implement tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with product development and manufacturing teams on design conception through pilot testing of new products introductions to ensure designs are feasible, dependable, and scalable for manufacturing.
• Create, maintain / update 3D Models, 2D Drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Develop the required documentation during new product development and for transfer to production (models, detail drawings, BOM and assembly procedures, etc.).
• Support custom product requests (CPR) and interface with Customer Service, Sales Reps and clients as needed on various projects.
• Identify, develop, and process any Product Changes Request (PCR) and product improvements.
• Ensure corrective actions for mechanical design and process issues are addressed appropriately and implemented in a timely manner.
• Work on special projects including new equipment justification, installation, setup, upgrades, redesign / new design and shop efficiency improvements.
• Provides technical support for specific plant operations.
• Design, develop and implement manufacturing processes and systems to improve quality, increase efficiency, and reduce production costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation, including process flow charts, work instructions, and process control plans.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Strong technical skills, including knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment, statistical analysis, and process improvement methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in CAD software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software applications.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in Product Development cycles and processes along with detailed knowledge of direct machining methods for prototyping.
• Has hands-on experience building and testing prototype components and systems.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling, developing 2D drawings and creating complex 3D assemblies.
• Working with SolidWorks design tables in Assemblies and Drawings and understanding of EPDM / Doc-Vault procedures is a plus.
• CNC Programming experience (Hass CNC Centers, CamWorks).
• Strong analytical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills. Good organizational skills, self-starter. Ability to communicate clearly at all levels of the organization and across multiple departments. Comfortable as an individual contributor with little to no supervision while still able to work well within a team environment.
