The operating engineer will ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained hotel environment.
• Maintain all Internal portions of the Hotel
• Performs general maintenance repairs to building plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, furniture etc.
• Receive direction for house calls via radio or telephone.
• Assist engineers and mechanics with repairs.
• Clean all work areas after completing job.
• Fill out Daily Work form.
• Have a thorough knowledge of Hotel water and electric cut off locations.
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations pertaining to safety.
• Associate must be able to complete all work tickets independently, except when it is a 2 person job.
• Possess knowledge of all emergency service switches and shut-off valves for electrical feeders, incoming water lines, and natural gas lines.
• Associate must be courteous and act appropriately with all Guest interactions at all times.
• Associate needs to be ready to go to work at clock in time and not leave early without permission.
• Possess ability to obtain and complete service tickets, in a timely manner, through the Synergy work order System.
• Know how to turn on/off and adjust all HVAC systems throughout the Hotel
• Take lead on the Engineering PRP/HVAC Filter program as outlined in Synergy. Maintain minimum average of 95% completion and maintain stock of items used in the PRP program at all times in a neat and orderly fashion
- They will be required to have a class 2 operating engineer license and universal EPA certificate.
- They must be able to work AM, PM, overnight, weekend and holiday shifts. Schedule will vary according to business and operational needs.
