POSITION SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Assistant will coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing to provide documentation and equipment tagging/marking support, splitting time between using computers and operating light machinery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS not limited to:
Documentation Support
- Produce certified electronic masters (PDFs) of controlled engineering drawings as requested using a variety of software programs, which include Solidworks, Draftsight and CADKey
- Review engineering drawings for accuracy, signoffs/approvals, errors, and correct callouts
- Process certified electronic master drawings for release to manufacturing, organizing to respective job folders and maintaining revision control
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure feasibility of drawing fabrication
Equipment Tagging/Marking Support
- Set up, program and run laser engraving equipment
- Create high quality engraved detail tags, nameplates and other custom markings as requested
- Supply manufacturing with engraved materials, get feedback, and process rework as needed
General Production Support
- As needed
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring that all work is accurate and precise
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Exceptional interpersonal, and communication skills
- Strong foundation in PC skills; (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe)
- Solidworks or Draftsight experience a plus
- ERP experience a plus
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School with some further education desired
- Experience in document revision control systems and electronic database preferred
- Familiarity with engineering drawings and 3D CAD assembly files
- Experience in operating laser engraving equipment preferred
