Growing organization offering a dynamic, elite working environment and the opportunity to be exposed to many facets of accounting is seeking a self-motivated, energetic Manufacturing Accountant. The Manufacturing Accountant will report to the Corporate Controller and will perform accounting functions for a multi-site organization. In this role you will be responsible for the following tasks:
\n\nLeading month-end and year-end activities for three sites\nUnderstanding, completing and analyzing financial statements \nPreparing and coordinating financial statements \nCompleting financial analysis and reporting findings to management partners\nWorking with team members to coordinate budgeting and forecasting functions\nOverseeing inventory analysis \nCompleting reporting within the ERP system, including ad hoc reporting, sales/operations analytics, etc. \nMaintenance of labor and overhead rates\nEvaluating and analyzing variances between actual and standard costs \nPartnering with manufacturing and accounting teams to complete time sensitive projects\nWorking to improve processes within the finance team \nOther accounting duties as requested by management\n\n
This is a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment that offers the opportunity to be diverse in accounting responsibilities. This position does require candidates to be flexible, approachable, open to new ideas, organized, team oriented, analytical, energetic and have the ability to perform heavy analysis. Candidates should be patient and able to communicate at all levels. Travel is less than 5% in this role. This is a salaried position with medical, dental, vision, vacation, holiday, group life, 401K and profit sharing.
REQUIREMENTS for the Manufacturing Accountant:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2. At least 3-5 years in a similar accounting and/or finance position
3. Experience performing accounting and/or finance functions in manufacturing environments
4. A strong financial analysis background
5. Experience supporting month and year-end closing
\n6. Budgeting and forecasting experience
\n7. Experience with ERP and/or MRP software systems
8. Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Experience performing accounting functions for multiple locations
2. Supervision experience
\n3. Cost accounting experience
\n4. Power BI
