We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team at our facility located in Jersey Village, TX. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for operating manual vertical mills and grinders to produce high-quality machined parts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong manual machining skills to contribute to our production process and help us meet our customer demands.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual vertical mills to machine parts according to specifications
- Skilled in operating Horizontal Mill, Vertical Turret Lathe, Milling, engine Lathe, read/interpret shop work instructions, and shop procedures
- Use manual grinders to finish and polish machined parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functionality
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating manual vertical mills and grinders
- Strong manual machining skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
- High school diploma or equivalent
