Manual Machinist

Titletown Manufacturing is currently in search of a Manual Machinist.

Must be able to operate manual machine shop equipment to repair or manufacture new and replacement parts from blueprints and samples. Applicants must be familiar with lathes, vertical and horizontal boring mills, drill presses, knee mills, and surface / Blanchard grinders. Ability to weld and/or do light assembly work is a plus.

Responsibilities:

- Understands Manual Machines not CNC

- Must have history working on manual lathe, Manual Boring Bar, Bridgeport & Grinders

- Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures

- Remove and replace dull cutting tools

- Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments

- Listen to machines during operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems

- Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools.

- Stop machines to remove finished workpieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement, according to required machining sequences

- Ensure that your work area is a clean environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

- 5+ years of applicable machine shop experience

- Must possess strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The pay range for this position is $22 to $32 per hour depending on qualifications, with bonus pay available. Work in a climate-controlled facility with benefits including 401(k) with match, quarterly profit sharing, paid time off, health insurance, and a health reimbursement account (HRA) for dental and vision. First shift is Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM or 6 AM to 3 PM. Second shift is Monday - Thursday, 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM with optional overtime as available.
