THE OPPORTUNITY

Feeding Westchester has an exciting opportunity for a strategic, critical thinker, and mission-driven Manager/Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Manager/Senior Manager, plays a critical role in managing Feeding Westchester's Marketing and Communications efforts to build awareness about our mission, services, needs and successes, as well as to position the organization in leading hunger-relief in Westchester County. We are looking for someone who is a sophisticated write/storyteller with comprehensive marketing, communications, and a digital marketing background. The Manager/Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications is responsible for managing digital communications; writing copy for targeted communications, organizational positioning and media relations; all to effectively communicate Feeding Westchester's mission, value, programs, and fundraising initiatives. Prior experience in the nonprofit industry is highly preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, passion around our mission, and a high level of organization are essential!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage, and write content for inbound and outbound marketing, blog posts, newsletters, and other digital and print communications.
• Capture and produce compelling stories featuring Feeding Westchester's clients, programs, and services in print materials and online.
• Primary responsibility for coordination of digital direct response program with Agency vendor including creative review to insure consistency with established brand strategies and marketing messages; adherence to timelines; proactive list management in conjunction with Director of Development Operations Manager, Campaign Operations; and other direct response campaign deliverables.
• Monitor and support all digital campaigns to meet revenue goals. Ensure high quality digital appeals and messaging; report on metrics including open rates, click rate, and response rates on OLX and One Cause platforms.
• Coordinate with the Associate, Marketing and Communications on Social media strategies, calendars, and campaigns.
• Evaluate and conduct market research, SEO, (Google Analytics, Social Analytics) on a monthly basis and provide reports and analysis on digital campaigns.
• Develop, maintain, and update calendar of all digital campaigns.
• Analyze online giving trends and donor responses; identify risks and challenges and recommend adjustments/corrective actions as needed.
• Work with Director of Marketing & Communications, VP of Development and Director of Individual Giving on creation of all print and digital content including Annual Report, donor communications, newsletters, and marketing materials and collateral.
• Manage website optimization by executing and updating all web-based Marketing and Communications on a regular basis.
• Responsible for website content, copy, edits, and updates and the creation and maintenance of online forms.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required Knowledge/Skills

• Excellent writing, communications and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of, and experience with, digital communications and social media
• Proficient in latest software and technology
• Experience in analytics, data analysis and reporting
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision
• Extremely organized, detail oriented and able to keep accurate records and follow up and provide reports and analysis to management.
• Must have valid driver's license and use of a vehicle to travel for Feeding Westchester
  
• Required Education/Experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, customer and donor relations, volunteer development, or related field
• Non-Profit experience preferred
• Demonstrated interest in non-profit management
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, and set up a variety of promotional materials including electronics, materials in boxes, and table top screens (weighing up to 50 pounds).
• Ability to pack, unpack and put away various materials.
• Prolonged standing, walking and bending in addition to sitting in front of a computer.
• Ability to access, research, read, review, enter and retrieve information from computer, hard copies and desk top publishing systems.
• Ability to give regular communications in person, writing, by email and by telephone.
• Ability to give speeches and presentations to groups.
• Ability to travel independently in the daytime and evening to regional and national destinations.
• Ability to access all work sites of the agency.
• Ability to work in below 0 F temperatures for short periods of time.

Working Conditions

• Working inside a warehouse environment and the Feeding Westchester offices.
• Working outside in all weather conditions in all Westchester communities.
• Travel throughout Westchester County.
• Ability to work irregular or extended hours including some evenings and weekends.

SALARY RANGE $65,000-80,000.00 (Salary determined by level experience)
