Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (JJIM) is recruiting for a Manager, Thought Leader Liaison, Gastroenterology. This is a field-based position located in the Western region of the United States. Assigned States will cover a portion of or the entire State:  California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona.

The Manager, Thought Leader Liaison, will lead Key Opinion Leader engagement through developing and maintaining relationships with current and future Thought Leaders. This includes Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers and Biologic Coordinators. This will result in the management of an assigned KOL region. This Manager will be responsible for executing KOL activities and events as part of the brand KOL engagement strategy. This manager will also be responsible for identifying and vetting promotional speakers, coaching speakers, and managing communications with these promotional speakers who are part of Janssen’s National Faculty speaker bureau. Additional responsibilities may include leading and/or partnering with the home office-based teams to develop and deliver marketing and/or educational programs.

Responsibilities include:

Successfully and compliantly exchange knowledge, gather insights, and build advocacy with Key Opinion Leaders

Partner cross functionally throughout the organization to oversee and execute regional and national KOL engagement plans

Lead regional Gastroenterology Medical Congress engagement and education planning for assigned Congresses.

Attend & Execute Medical Congress engagement for assigned Congresses

Lead Regional KOL Engagement Core Teams

Identify and help to recruit approved candidates for marketing Advisory Boards.

Manage Promotional Speaker selection and communications for assigned geographical coverage.

Interface with KOL’s through office visits, Society/Medical Congress meetings or at Advisory Boards.

Provide insights and learnings back to marketing, medical and/or sales, as appropriate and within compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

Education:

·        Bachelor’s degree is the minimum requirement

Skills and Experience

Required:

·        A minimum of 5 years of related industry experience.

·        Experience with customer relationship management (Thought Leader development, speaker bureau management, clinical training, etc.).

·        Strong track record of success as demonstrated through annual performance ratings and/or professional accomplishments and awards.

·        Demonstrated ability to directly or indirectly lead teams required. Interpersonal flexibility to effectively interact with a broad range of personnel in a cross-functional team environment.

·        Advanced presentation skills and business acumen.

·        Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business situations and identify trends and creative business solutions.

·        Advanced problem solving, and decision-making skills

·        A valid Driver’s License in one of the 50 United States 

·        This is a field-based position which requires up to 60% local/regional travel throughout the region and will require evening events, and overnight and weekend travel. 

·        Candidate should reside within the region- ideally in California, Arizona, or Colorado and be located within a reasonable distance to a major airport. 

·        Experience with customer relationship management is required (Thought Leader development, speaker bureau management, clinical training, etc.).

·        Strong track record of success as demonstrated through annual performance ratings and/or professional accomplishments and awards.

·        Experience concentrated in biotechnology sales or marketing.

Preferred:

·        2+ years of people management (district manager) and/or project management (marketing, sales training manager) experience. 

·        Product focus on medical gastroenterology therapeutic markets preferred.

·        Experience with customer relationship management is required (Thought Leader development, speaker bureau management, clinical training, etc.).

 

This position is eligible for a company car through the Company’s FLEET program.

 

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $110,000 to $190,000. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
