Supervisors, Leads, Fabrication, Assembly, Materials Management Employees
The Position
This position is responsible for managing the daily operational needs of the Service Center regarding materials management, fabrication and assembly operations.
The main responsibilities are:
- Manages and directs materials management, fabrication and assembly departments to support sales demand
- Responsible for manufacturing policies/practices in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, materials usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and performance measures
- Establishes operational standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery
- Oversees expense budgets to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements
- Manages and ensures employee training, development, and succession planning
- Manages fabrication and assembly assets to ensure proper maintenance, replacement and upgrades are completed in a timely manner
- Develops and manages relevant KPIs in accordance for business needs
Education and Experience
- BS/BA in Management, Engineering or Equivalent
- 5 to 8 years of industrial operations management and engineering experience
- Experience with developing functional and capital expense budgets
- Experience with managing innovation & solutions
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Experience with developing and implement Lean operations
