I. Job Summary
Responsible for structuring RNG sales deals with the RNG Business Development Manager, monetization of commodities (RINs, LCFS credits, OR CFP credits, etc) generated from the sale/utilization of RNG, and the initiation of new opportunities for RNG monetization through new and emerging regulatory and market-based programs.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for overseeing the structuring of deals for RNG sales and RNG commodity (RIN, LCFS credit, OR CFP credit, etc) to align with organizational commodity exposure goals.
- Work with WM Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team to manage commodities in compliance with policies.
- Assess program strengths and identify areas for data analysis improvement (fleet data, RNG production data, etc).
- Communicates with senior management, various board and steering committees, functional leaders and individual team leaders by contributing to strategic vision and integrating a broad range of ideas regarding management of trading strategy.
- Tracks/manages the tracking of regulatory and legislative updates as they relate to RNG and environmental attributes, works closely with the Government Affairs team federally and in state/provincial programs.
- Represent WMRE at industry events in a professional manner.
- Responsible for coordinating legal/external counsel on legal documentation, including but not limited to Transaction Confirmations (TCs), North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) base contracts, environmental attribute transactions, counter party due diligence, and other documentation as needed.
- Plans projects, allocates and directs staff and other resources to accomplish project tasks and maintain control over the project(s).
- Supports other business units, as needed when related to RNG and other business activities.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises Business Solutions Analysts. Indirectly supervises contractors and vendors.
IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
- Experience: Five years of relevant work experience preparing and managing budgets (in addition to education requirement).

- Must be able to travel regularly.
