We’re looking for a proven leader and manager with exceptional team-building skills to oversee our complex and challenging Park Operations. What you get to do:
As a Manager of Park Operations, you’ll play a lead role in ensuring positive, memorable guest experiences. You’ll strive to exceed guest expectations while resolving any and all guest situations. This involves training, coaching and mentoring Ambassadors to deliver consistently outstanding performances. You will also:
- Provide daily leadership of Guest Arrival area and other designated Park Operations areas
- Lead a team on the park’s POS system and ensure Ambassadors are up-to-date on park offerings to include upselling
- Train, Coach, develop and provide feedback to Ambassadors and leadership
- Ensure safety, quality, efficiency and guest courtesy standards are met
- Implement and oversee all safety programs for guests and Ambassadors
- Investigate safety and guest service-related incidents
- Update standard operating procedures and training documentation
- Create and track labor and expense budgets
- Establish strong business relationships with vendors and contractors
- Serve as project leader for departmental initiatives
- Assist with inventory and ordering of equipment
- Participate in park duty leader coverage
- Monitor industry standards and advise senior leadership
- Support senior leadership and perform other duties as assigned
What it takes to succeed:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Three or more years of operational theme park experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Highly motivated with the ability to motivate, inspire and nurture others
- Strong communication, interpersonal, multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, mornings, evenings and holidays
What else is important:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
- You will perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat
- Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes
- Will perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
- Will work flexible schedules/hours based on business needs, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
