State Park Equipment Operator - Central Valley DISTRICT / San Joaquin Sector / Millerton Lake State Recreation Area
Post & Bid: This classification is subject to the Post and Bid process. Applications from a certification list, transfer change in class, reinstatement, re-employment, and training and development assignment candidates will be accepted for this position but consistent with the MOU/Bargaining Agreement BU12/13 contract cannot be acted upon unless the Post & Bid process does not result in a hire.
The reporting location is the San Joaquin Sector Maintenance Office and the primary work location for this position is Millerton Lake State Recreation Area located in Friant, CA. May be required to work in all units within Central Valley District as directed. This position will work under the direction of the Park Maintenance Chief I.
The incumbent's work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM.
Incumbent is responsible for the operation and routine maintenance of assigned heavy equipment. In the course of routine activities the incumbent may act as crew leader for seasonal and lesser skilled staff. Other occasional duties for this position include attending staff meetings, assisting in emergency activities (rescue, first aid, etc.), preparing and leading safety or accident prevention meetings, training/orienting new or lesser skilled staff and responding to questions form park visitors. The incumbent will maintain a Class A drivers license and participate in the Department's Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Provides data entry information for the CAMP (Computer Asset Management Program) which may include completing work orders and assisting in the completion of condition assessments.

This position will be subject to the Federal Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.
