A Typical Day
The Manager, Operations Applications will be responsible for all applications in relation with the Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse Management and Plant Maintenance functions. They will ensure excellent service delivery both in terms of support of the applications and in terms of delivery of enhancements to the functions. Additionally, the Manager, Operations Applications will evaluate and architect solutions to improve processes for the respective functions. He/she will participate in the future evolutions of the applications through strategy definition and delivery of those through project management. They will be responsible for all facets of the solution lifecycle management from inception to retirement.
Job Responsibilities
- Personnel management of functional analysts in charge of the different solutions within scope.
- Overall solution architect for the functional area contributing to future evolution through strategy definition and implementation.
- Ensures through the excellent delivery of support through the managed services organization and the direct reporting team.
- Collaboratively with the business, define, manage, and implement a comprehensive process of enhancements to the existing solutions.
- Ensures that new solutions or significant enhancements managed through projects are delivered on time, within scope and quality.
- Collaborates within the IT function to improve internal processes with the objective of increased efficiency and value delivery to the business.
- Develop business relationships to achieve corporate goals through cooperative alignment and communications with all relevant functions.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's in computer science or related field plus 7 years related experience OR Master’s degree plus 3 years related experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary team
- Strong trouble-shooting, analytical, and critical thinking skills and the ability to translate higher level knowledge to others
- Ability to understand complex business processes, rules, and demonstrate business acumen, and is subject matter expert in manufacturing, quality, warehouse, and plant maintenance applications
- Experience with conducting timely assessments, building models, and creating remediation plans, based upon the results of the assessments.
- Experience as an advisor to the business on improvement and innovations and drives continuous improvement across the enterprise.
- Strong business acumen
- Strong knowledge in some key corporate applications like SAP for the respective functions (SAP PPPI, QM, WM, PM)
- Strategic thinking, planning and execution capabilities; performance driven
- Experienced Operational execution excellence
- Ability to apply a customer-centric and service-minded philosophy in creating clear strategy that drives alignment and results.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; public speaking
- Team engagement, people management and organizational skills
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field plus 10 years related experience OR Master’s degree plus 5 years related experience.
- Current certification in relevant SAP functional areas (PPPI, WM, QM, PM)
- Strong knowledge in some key corporate applications like SAP for integrated functions (SAP FI, CO, SD, LE)
Physical Demands & Work Environment
