Job Description
OVERVIEW
Develop best practices and lead the maintenance teams in focusing on maximizing equipment and facility utilization and internal customer service, while controlling costs and maintaining compliance with our safety, quality, and food safety standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
1. Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews and presenting developmental opportunities.
2. Align Maintenance departments’ areas of focus to support the strategic direction of the business, facilities, and departments being maintained.
3. Complete an annual budget for assigned areas of responsibility; recommend capital spend for the replacement of equipment and building components to balance capital and operating expenses to avoid equipment obsolescence.
4. Lead continuous improvement initiatives for cross-functional teams, providing clear goals and defined responsibilities to install new equipment and building components.
5. Establish and maintain a positive work environment and culture for all employees in accordance with Sheetz standards, while maintaining appropriate staffing to meet business needs and objectives. Identify, implement, and manage training programs within maintenance departments.
6. Provide effective communications to maintenance teams and internal customers with a strong customer service mentality.
7. Maintain a Sheetz Brand appearance aesthetic of facilities and equipment, as well as identify and propose solutions to maintain facilities high appearance standards.
8. Implement maintenance best practices across all SDS facilities; perform audits to ensure adequate parts and procedures are in place to minimize business interruptions. Serve as functional owner of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
9. Administer all guidelines of good manufacturing/distribution practices, FDA/USDA standards, the Environmental Control Act, OSHA, and other standards to ensure that the plant compliance and maintenance best practices.
10. Formulate and manage reporting of various maintenance performance and efficiency metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Associate’s degree or two-year technical/trade degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field is required
Experience
- Minimum 7 years’ industrial maintenance experience required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising others required
Licenses/Certifications
- NFPA-70E Electrical Training required
