Job description

Responsible for managing clinical projects throughout the organization, focusing on patient safety and clinical error reduction and other patient care performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, patient safety or related field is required.
  • Master's degree in nursing, public health, or related field is preferred.
  • Must have current applicable licensure.
  • Certification as CPHQ, CPHRM, CPSO is preferred. Required to obtain certification within 3 years from date of hire, if not in place.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of prior experience in a clinical role.
  • Internet and database management experience required.
  • Quality/Performance Improvement, Infection Prevention, Patient Safety and/or Risk Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a resource to departments for educational processes for the organization related to patient safety and projects.
  • Works directly with clinical leadership to develop and implement unit-specific education and documentation related to patient safety and clinical processes.
  • Provides coordination and direction of the hospital's patient safety program through maintenance and improvement in patient safety issues.
  • Acts as liaison between physicians, administration, management and staff to coordinate effective, timely communication related to patient safety and clinical processes.
  • Makes recommendations for revisions to clinical processes, supplies, and/or equipment to the appropriate individuals or committees.
  • Monitors clinical process effectiveness through communication with hospital committees and hospital leadership noting variances and monitoring data analysis mechanisms.
  • Serves as a resource to departments throughout the organization regarding patient safety and other evidenced-based patient care performance improvement activities.

Full-Time

Monday - Friday

Pay Range:

Salaried/Exempt Position

$76,700 - $120,000
