Manager, Financial Operations, Business Talent Group

Role Responsibilities:
The Manager of Financial Operations is responsible for the operational performance of BTG's business and therefore has a wide range of responsibilities. This individual functions in many ways as a representative subject matter expert for the business with the following areas of responsibility.
- Prepare for and actively contribute to meetings as a BTG representative with the corporate finance, IT, HR Payroll and Commercial teams to provide an operational lens focused on driving efficiencies and positive outcomes.
- Engages with a range of Heidrick & Struggles teams (Legal, Operations, Corporate Finance) to represent BTG's financial interests (Legal, Operations, Corp. GL/Accounting).
- Work closely with BTG Operations team to conduct root cause analysis and identify process improvements to ensure completeness and accuracy of data critical to financial processing and reporting
- Work closely with Corp Global AR and Commercial team on Credit and Collection matters
- Support VP, Finance during month-end close and budget cycles (good)
- Advise sales team on financial and operational matters related to new or existing client projects
People Management
- Supervise and manage team of 7 - BTG Accounting/Billing Manager, Billers, AP Analyst and Contract Admin
- Manage workflow and employee issues (appraisals, performance reviews etc.)
- Serve as an escalation point for Billers, AP Analyst and Contract Admin for urgent or pressing matters
Accounting and Reporting
- Review and approve invoices.
- In conjunction with Treasury, responsible for overseeing monthly cash flow forecast and daily management of cash
- Manage and approve weekly talent and vendor pay cycles
- Review and approve consulting invoices payroll (work closely with HR and Payroll)
- Monthly review and approve AP Accruals to H&S Corp AP
- Manage and confirm revenue and COS transactions are properly recorded in General Ledger
- Monthly financial statement review and analysis
- Manage month-end close and adhere to key deadlines
- Prepare and review monthly financial flux variances, G&A Expenses, monthly revenue estimate and Out-Of-Period reporting.
- Review and Approve Client Refunds and Support with monthly and quarterly referral reporting
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Responsible for proper stewardship and compliance of Grant of Authority and Invoice Approval Matrix
- Responsible for Revenue / COS /Contract Admin / Talent AP audit support gathering and submission Invoice Approval Matrix
- Manage and validate process controls - SOX Compliance
- Process improvement and integration with H&S platforms (i.e., Concur, Amex, TripActions, Travel Policy, Vendor Portal, Payroll, etc...)
- Responsible for reviewing and managing application of Sales Tax to client billings
IT and Tech Support
- Work closely with Operations and IT on process improvements
- Prepare PeopleSoft Ad-hoc Reporting (on what?)
Troubleshoot escalated PeopleSoft Issues (BI, AP, GL, TR, CA and PC subledgers)
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years financial accounting and reporting experience in a public company
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams of professionals with cross functional skills achieving results under tight deadlines.
- Experience leading financial month end and year end closure processes.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office, Oracle/PeopleSoft
- Track record of success influencing internal stakeholders on decisions related to resource investments.

- Proven ability to work across different departments and teams with clear and direct communication, instilling collaboration and building rapport.
- Record of success in influencing decisions, building consensus and driving change through effective communication means.
- Strong team player across all departments - excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
