Position Highlights:
Job Summary
Assures that the entire facility is kept in working order, and provides a pleasant physical environment for patients, residents, visitors, and staff. Manages the maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry functions inside and outside of the facility. Maintains buildings, grounds, and equipment. Serves as the project coordinator for all new construction and remodeling. Serves as the hospital's safety and security officer.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
- Vocational certificate/degree in building maintenance or a building trade preferred.
- At a minimum, a high school diploma or General Education Degree or a minimum of one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Class C II Boiler license preferred.
- This position requires a valid driver's license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
