The Manager of Consumer Loan Processing manages a team of Consumer Loan processors to include pipeline management of loans in the processing pipeline and monitors workloads to ensure acceptable turn times are met. The Manager monitors efficiencies in processing and continually looks for ways to improve processes, both in terms of procedures and use of the loan origination system to ensure continuous member service improvements, workflow/capacity improvements and error reductions. The Manager provides leadership, guidance and support to direct reports.
What you will do here:
Provide leadership and direction to direct reports to maintain a high level of production, quality, and member satisfaction. Balance the underwriting teams workload, schedules, and day-to-day operations of the team. Coach and provide support for member issues.
Monitor and measure workload, quality of output, quantity of output, and overall performance of the Consumer Loan processors and adjusts resources and/or processes when appropriate. Lead, train and coach the Consumer Loan Processing team in their daily duties and responsibilities. Actively manage the Consumer Loan pipeline to achieve monthly loan origination goals.
Maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and stay up to date on consumer lending guidelines and regulations. Ensure processed loans conform to Desert Financial' s loan policy, guidelines, and established regulatory requirements.
Communicate with internal lines of business, external clients/vendors and members to provide support as needed. Build strong working relationships to ensure quality and high levels of service are provided.
Research returned or missing loan payoff checks, perform Cashiers Check Indemnity Agreements and overnight updated payoff checks.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What you will need:
High School Diploma or GED required.
4+ years of Consumer Lending experience. required.
2+ years of leadership experience required.
Strong critical thinking with the ability to identify risk based on internal training and understanding of lending regulations required.
Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills appropriate to all levels of the organization required.
Ability to maintain strong working relationships with peers and others to achieve objectives required.
Ability to respond quickly to challenges using appropriate judgment to assist members while keeping the organizations best interests in mind. required.
Attention to detail and the ability to exercise strong judgment and time management skills. Follow through is critical along with accuracy. required.
Microsoft Office Suite required.
