Job Responsibilities
- Create growth strategies through portfolio, pricing and promo/trade optimization that align with brand objectives
- Develop meaningful analysis and strategies that will be implemented by field sales
- Critical link with the sales team to ensure accurate customer trade planning and gross sales forecasting
- Build foundational reporting suite and tools for the sales and leadership team. Implement processes and procedures to ensure that the data is accurate, and that tools are properly utilized by the team
- Detailed analysis that highlights price realization gaps, identify opportunities, and ensure price-pack in market execution is aligned to brand strategies
- Evaluate account level promotional strategies and ROIs. Responsible for optimized recommendations to the account managers to balance net sales and growth objectives
- Develop methodologies and perform financial analysis that will be the base for portfolio pricing simulations and white space launches.
- Monitor competitors’ feature, promo, and display activities. Provide executable actions for field sales
- Aid the sales team with ad hoc analysis, data requests, and building maximum revenue across the sales organization.
- Responsible for relationship management and on all Net Revenue topics with Leadership Team.
Skills & Values Requirements
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong presentation skills (both internally and customer facing)
- Proficient in both Excel & Powerpoint
- Demonstrated knowledge of IRI/Nielsen, Panel Data and Numerator
- Ability to work successfully and efficiently in conditions which include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities
- Ability to problem solve to develop financial solutions
- Willing to take initiative to drive improved processes
- Collaboration and teamwork
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (Finance Preferred)
- MBA is a plus
- 2-5 years of successful CPG experience in Strategy, Sales or Finance
Location Requirements or Preferences
- Bellvue, CO/Charlotte, NC/Montclair, NJ and/or remote
- Employees located near Sovos offices, 3 days in the office is required
