JOB SUMMARY
- Create and develop Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical plans in a professional, efficient, accurate, and timely manner meeting local, state, and national codes for Hospital, Business office, and other building types. Works directly with Facility Management and A & E staff, consultants, contractors, and vendors in the development, construction, modification, and general management of items related to Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical items in all HMC facilities. Assure Central Plants are operating smoothly and efficiently.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum Work Experience
- 3 years as Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Engineer with Hospital experience.
- Required Licenses/Certifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Professional engineering skills to create Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical drawings suitable for construction that meets local, state and national codes.
- Coordinate/manage construction of Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical items in HMC projects.
- Knowledge to manage Central Plant equipment for multiple campuses in a cost effective manner as it relates to energy efficiency and general maintenance.
- Good people skills to effectively work with many parties.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.
