Role Summary:
Under direction from and in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Marine Procurement, the Manager will be responsible to co-craft and execute ONE NA’s Marine Procurement strategy covering a vendor portfolio with an annual spend of over $1 Billion USD. It is expected that the position will be able to implement strategies and develop data tools to effectively manage terminal spending based on statistical and cost analysis. Close cross-functional communication with Port Operations, Vessel Operations, Strategic Planning and Cooperation, Finance and Accounting, Invoice Processing, Marketing and Commercial among others to ensure that vendors are adhering to contracted service levels and commitments.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and implementing data-based analytic tools to enhance evaluation of vendor contract offers.
- Responsible for monitoring ONE’s progress towards achievement of volume-based rate incentives as well as other compliance provisions within our vendor portfolio.
- Participation in face-to-face vendor meetings along with Sr. Manager to assist in vendor negotiations and service performance reviews.
- Participation in and support for “THE Alliance” Regional Terminal Committee (RTC) discussions.
- Coordination with GHQ/NA stakeholders to act as point of contact for digitized vendor management tools; SAP Ariba.
- Assistance in the rate approval process in OPUS.
- Other duties may be necessary.

- Strong detail-oriented analytical skills, able to effectively communicate both verbally, digitally, and through computerized visual applications.
- Core strength in developing data analytics and data-driven metrics and KPIs.
- Ability to travel within the US and Canada as may be required occasionally.
Required Minimum Years Experience:
3+ years’ experience overseeing terminal services contracting preferred.
3+ years’ experience managing vendor relations preferred.
3+ years’ managing / supervisory experience preferred.
Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
