Manager, Land Experiences
American Cruise Lines is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Manager, Land Experiences to work in our Guilford, CT office. This position will work directly with the Manager, Guest Programs and Director, Guest Experience to manage and supervise all pre- and post-cruise Land Experiences including, but not limited to National Parks & Legendary Rivers, Denali and Kenai Fjords National Parks, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Civil War Battlefields and the Great United States Cruise.
The Manager, Land Experiences must be extraordinarily organized, accurate, detail-oriented, communicative, and must enjoy working with a team and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Previous cruise line experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Product Development team to gain a full understanding of land experience operations including, but not limited to attractions/experiences, logistics, hotels, restaurants, and transportation.
- Ensure all experiences, hotel, and restaurant planning, logistics, confirmations and payments are completed as contractually agreed.
- Ensure all transportation arrangements, routes, and payments are confirmed and completed as contractually agreed.
- Collaborate with Hotel Operations on the scheduling of Adventure Guides.
- Communicate and collaborate with Adventure Guides daily during land experience operations to gain an overall impression and status of each land experience, to ensure operations excellence and to provide corporate assistance and support as needed.
- Oversee invoice control for all service providers (experiences, transportation, hotels, restaurants, etc.).
- Create, submit and collect Guest Experience Questionnaires to analyze guest feedback, ratings and comments, making current and future program recommendations to Guest Programs and Product Development as necessary.
- Maintain and nurture positive relationships with all experience providers through open, accurate, thorough communications and effective relationship building skills.
- Maintain thorough awareness and competitive analysis of company competitors with similar land experience offerings.
- Assist Guest Programs department when required.
- Perform significant administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous cruise line, land tour, and/or event planning experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Exceptionally strong multi-tasking skills
- Very strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Ability to work long hours, including being on call after office hours and on weekends
- Must be positive, enthusiastic and outgoing; a consummate team player
