Job description

This Internal Communications Manager will develop and execute holistic Internal Communications campaigns for Brand topics & employee engagement events as they relate to our brand campaigns and priority product launches. This individual will partner with Events and the Content Creation team to bring campaigns and comms to life through engaging experiences, powerful messaging, images and video.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage channel strategy for all owned topics on corporate comms channels staying current with a-LIVE, Yammer and Poppulo features
  • Build and manage the execution of the Internal Communications and employee engagement strategies of owned topics for the global and North American strategic business plans for U.S. and Canada-based employees
  • Bring campaigns to life by developing creative comms strategies with engaging events, powerful messaging and content
  • Partner with Brand comms teams to develop an internal marketing plan for brand campaigns, culture of sport moments and product launches with employee activations that align with North America priorities.
  • Collaborate with retail brand and workplace partners to create awareness of priority campaigns and products through displays in physical environments in the adidas Village in PDX and other field offices as relevant.
  • Partner with Content Creation team on a digital screen process for all NAM offices featuring fresh, evergreen and timely content.
  • Partner with People/Purpose Internal Comms manager to collaborate on joint initiatives.
  • Manage programs, brief content for creative solutions to drive company storylines and experiences that facilitate open, engaging and consistent communication and interaction with employees
  • Cascade relevant NAM comms to Internal Comms manager leading DC/retail employee communications
  • Manage event calendar across Accounts team to ensure streamlined approach to Internal Communications and events.
  • Incorporate key global comms to NAM comms & ensure KPIs
  • Manage and track project-based budgets and expenses
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills. Creative copywriting a plus.

  • Passion for building online and offline communities; social capability in both digital and physical environments is critical
  • Creative problem solver with a demonstrated open-minded approach to identifying solutions

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in communications-related field with a focus on digital and activations
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field or the equivalent in work experience

Purpose:

The Senior Manager HR Rewards – Sales Compensation role is responsible for the creation and activation of the sales incentive management program. This role will actively oversee the development of the financial reporting and management of the sales incentive plan.

Accountabilities:

Leads the conceptualization and operationalization of a new sales incentive plan

Develops holistic incentive management KPI framework to ensure profitable, sustainable business growth

Drives cross functional alignment on targeting, forecasting, budgeting, reporting and analysis for the newly formulated sales incentive plan

Evaluates underlying business risks & opportunities regarding the new incentive plan in close collaboration with relevant functional leads

Ensures rewards, finance, and key stakeholders are provided top notch and highly accurate information and analysis for their business decisions

Creates reporting & tracking framework and provides meaningful recurring reporting performance achievement.

Provides guidance on sales compensation plans, targets, strategies, that focus on achieving desired financial business objectives

Provides leadership and consultation for main business partners through sharing of best practice techniques and mentoring

Drives creative solutions to minimize business risks and maximize business opportunities

Proactively collaborates with cross-functional partners in Finance, Wholesale, IT, HR and Business Development to ensure effective incentive plan management

At times may be called upon to present incentive plan framework and performance results to Steering Committees and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Self-starter with excellent knowledge in Finance and/or Accounting and high-level understanding and experience with retail math and retail financial drivers

Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex data and develop creative and innovative solutions within an entrepreneurial and ambiguous environment

Ability to present information and interact effectively with senior executives, stakeholders, cross- functional business leaders, peers, clients, and customers

Ability to be detail oriented and manage multiple priorities to accomplish assignments simultaneously under tight timelines

Ability to manage competing priorities and define realistic / sustainable solutions for team

Promote a team first environment where everyone can openly contribute and ensure appropriate work/life balance for team members

Ability to manage, align and influence process with business partners

Proven ability to operate cross functionally and develop creative and innovative solutions within an entrepreneurial environment

Advanced skills in Excel. Strongly proficient skills in Access, Word, PowerPoint and Business Objects

Qualifications (Minimum required education and experience):

University degree in Finance, Accounting or Business

Minimum 6 years’ experience in business or financial analysis or planning

Industry specific experience preferred

Experience with creating and managing the financial aspects of sales incentive programs preferred

Solid accounting skills and experience preferred

Advanced Excel skills required

Familiarity with SAP and other relevant adidas and industry Finance systems/analytical software a major plus
