The purpose of the Internal Communications Manager position is to lead the development and delivery of our internal communications. This role serves as the communications expert for North America, establishing and driving communication strategies and delivering impactful communication that supports the business, making sure our people are aligned, informed and engaged.
Making an Impact
- Partner with P&C SVP and other senior leaders to set communication priorities to align with business strategy.
- Lead all executive & organizational communications including strategy, content and implementation
- Provide dedicated communication coaching to key senior leaders.
- Define and implement appropriate metrics that evaluate the success and impact of internal communications strategies and initiatives.
- Ensure internal messages across our brands and teams advance our strategy and engagement.
- Produce excellent executive communications. Partner with senior leaders to develop communications including organization announcements, regular leader updates, change communications and internal presentations.
- Lead the planning, development and execution of company-wide internal meetings (live and virtual) including all-employee town halls, quarterly management meetings and annual leadership summits.
- Manage internal communication cadence and channels to ensure organizational messages reinforce our tone and message.
- Lead the development and execution of internal crisis response strategies working closely with Global / North America PR and legal.
- Develop new, interesting, creative, and compelling ways to engage and educate internal audiences about the company strategy; regularly develop and explore new ideas, strategies, and tactics.
- Collaborate with our People & Culture team to create communication and materials to support our people practices (e.g. talent planning, performance management, benefits open enrollment, etc.) that help us attract, engage and retain top talent.
- Create new approaches to communications and continually evaluate the effectiveness of messaging with different audiences.
- Partner with our Global Strategic Communications Team to adapt and embed our global thought leadership, research and workforce expertise across the business. Develop and continually strengthen our employer brand by creating a common look and messaging related to our offerings and opportunities as an employer in partnership with our marketing and talent acquisition teams.

- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
- Strong relationship management capabilities to work across departments and levels. Strong people skills and the ability to get stuff done and bring others with you is critical.
- Proven success consulting with senior leaders in a large complex organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree required and as a guide, with an equivalent of 5+ years communications experience in-house or with an agency or ideally a combination.

This position is based in our Global Headquarters located in downtown Milwaukee. Employees can enjoy an onsite cafeteria, coffee shop and gym along with beautiful views of the Milwaukee river, Deer District, and historic downtown architecture.
