Overview
In this role, you will lead development and execution of learning plans to support a segment of the Pet Business at Post Consumer Brands.
The successful candidate will work with a team of human-centric professionals to provide holistic perspective on the brands in your area of responsibility. You will uncover deep insights about consumer behavior and generate grounded and inspiring strategic recommendations. You will keep the voice of the consumer at the center of marketing, innovation, design, portfolio, and category and provide valuable perspective.
As a forward-thinker, you will have strong partnerships with brand, innovation, and communications teams, as well as cross-functionally within the greater Insights team. Strong partnership, communication and prioritization skills are required to build productive working relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners.
In This Role You Will
- Design and manage qualitative and quantitative consumer research projects for brands; connect the dots to generate holistic and actionable insights grounded in consumer knowledge and understanding of business context.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to serve as the voice of the consumer.
- Become an expert on the knowledge estate/past research to leverage the full research ecosystem.
- Bring together actionable insights and data to tell holistic stories to inform key cross-functional communication and decisions.
- Understand the range of methods and approaches to stay at the forefront of insights
- Collaborate across Insights to further thought leadership, ongoing education, and clear communication.
- Positively contribute to a collaborative and unique, Post Consumer Brands culture
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA is a plus
Experience:
- 5+ years of insights experience (including marketing, innovation, agency, and supplier)
- Preferred: Experience in consumer packaged goods, ideally Pet
Other Characteristics:
- Strong strategic aptitude and custom research expertise across a variety of methods (e.g., human centric, ethnography, JTBD, innovation qualification, packaging, marketing communications/advertising through live and virtual qual and quantitative research).
- Strong partner and supplier management skills.
- Experience in synthesizing data together across multiple sources and teams (primary and secondary sources) to create actionable insights and holistic stories.
- Experience working on foundational consumer insights and translating them to brand, innovation, and communication strategy.
- Experience with developing learning plans and budget allocation
