Job Description

The IT /MIS Manager will lead a team of IT professionals with various skill sets to help improve and maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware. This will include providing high quality oversight for the technical support and oversee service requests for approximately 250 users at the agency headquarters and remote offices to ensure proper technical operations. Exercises sound judgment, demonstrates initiative, and maintains a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. Sustains a cooperative working relationship with District 19 personnel, Leadership Team, federal/state/local processes, and Region 4 counterparts. Works closely with Executive Director to improve and implement technology/software processes based current industry trends. Provide supervision and oversight of all IT/MIS staff.

*Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or another related field.

*5 years of experience (combination of supervisory and experience earned through entry-level IT positions and advancing into more complex roles with leadership opportunities).

​*Experience working as a Computer Programmer, IT Support Technician, Software Developer or Network Systems Administrator required.

*Previous MIS/IT supervisory role.

*Proficient in software, data management systems, and platforms acquired and used by the agency.

*IT/MIS IT certifications required (ex. Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional - Architecture (CISSP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), etc.)

Salary:

Position is a Grade 217, starting salary at $90,000. Salaries are negotiable.

Hours:

Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

District 19 Community Service Board is a qualifying employer for public service loan forgiveness (PSLF). PSLF is a federal program available to full-time government and nonprofit employees who have Federal Direct Loans and have made 120 payments on the Federal Direct Loans (after Oct. 1, 2007) may be eligible for the remaining loan balance to be forgiven. Position requires valid Driver’s License in state of residence with a point balance of -6 or higher, and an extensive pre-employment background check and drug screening.
