The Manager, Human Resources Strategy Partner (HRSP) is an integral member of a highly collaborative Talent Team as the team creates, establishes, and implements HR strategies that foster organization and people development across our rapidly growing property management operations. The Manager, HRSP is responsible for driving all Human Resources initiatives for an assigned employee base in a region or territory of multiple properties.
Working with the larger centralized Talent Team this position serves as a consultant helping to drive planning, development, and implementation of Human Resources programs to be rolled out and managed for all the field property management area of Prime Residential. These implementations may include strategic talent planning, total rewards and compensation, talent management, diversity, employee relations, employee engagement, performance management, and training and development. The field HR team will rely on centralized teams to ensure assigned employees receive optimal service.
Key to this position is the ongoing connection and development of leaders in the Property Management field, focusing heavily on their individual development, performance accountability, people and team development and succession planning. Because of Prime’s various ambitious initiatives, this leader will have the opportunity to drive change and evolution in the HR function. The role will develop and nurture strong advisory relationships with the Regional VPs, Department Heads and Exec Team to drive human capital success.

What You’ll Do:
Leadership
  • Own, drive and manage all talent programs across the region.
  • Build a culture connected, community-driven work environment across otherwise remote, geo-dispersed regions.
  • Leads High Performance Teams leadership development, building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Partner/collaborate with leadership teams from your assigned territories and corporate departments to align and execute HR strategies in support of initiatives.
  • Function as a trusted adviser and thought partner to your senior leadership to drive an accountable, performance-based, and purpose-driven culture.
  • Leverage all aspects of the Talent Team Strategy, including Employee Relations, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Employee Engagement & Communication.
  • Work with leaders to create and maintain a positive work environment and authentic culture which encourages diversity, inclusion, and belonging for a work environment where all employees can thrive and grow.
  • Drive urgency and accountability across all leaders to create a fair, safe, and inclusive environment.
HR Best Practices
  • Drives talent plans and actions for the assigned territory of employees / properties, developing workforce plans that anticipate talent needs, enable proactive sourcing, and ensure effective on-boarding.
  • Tapping into expertise with HR systems to uncover, assess and propose opportunities for HR process improvement as well as creation of new HR programs.
  • Personally manages all exit interviews for assigned territory.
  • Oversees the assigned organization's employee relations function, which may include issues related to performance management, workforce realignments, mergers and acquisitions, and other employee relations activities.
  • Monitors and drives consistent delivery of HR policies and practices across assigned organization and ensures compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources.
  • Regularly attend HR conferences and webcast sessions on best practices in real estate talent management and bring the knowledge back in white-paper format for teams.
  • Keeps updated on changing and evolving employment law.
  • Accountable to bring the best of external thinking into relevant HR programs at Prime Residential, to create solutions where internal solutions do not exist.
  • Provide regular and highly visible HR related trainings, advice, counsel, and coaching to employees regarding HR policies and procedures.
Collaboration With Corporate Experts
  • In collaboration with in-house legal counsel and external counsel, maintain a working knowledge of relevant regulatory issues, regional laws and regulations and bring those back to the team.
  • In collaboration with talent acquisition, ensure recruiting practices are optimizing growth goals as well as the culture for your assigned regions.
  • Partner with HR Ops peers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless and engaging onboarding experience for your designated employee base.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders across property management to understand learning and development needs and ensure T&D department is producing regular, customized learning programs based on roles and competencies.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the current organizational structure and cross functional collaboration to ensure the development and training program efforts are strategic.
  • Works with the larger Talent Team driving continuous HR process improvement, including assessing, evaluating, and recommending HR models, tools, and technologies that standardize, automate, and optimize Prime Residential employee performance.
Talent Development
  • In collaboration with the Talent Team, drive talent performance appraisal process, talent calibration sessions and quarterly promotion planning.
  • Ensure that all employees have high quality, well written performance appraisals and have a “Talent Development Plan” (TDP) that is revisited quarterly.
  • Ensure job descriptions are relevant, and competency models are built in all areas of property management functions.
  • Conducts assessments and analyses to define performance, skill, and knowledge gaps to enable development of programs aimed at driving individual and organizational capabilities.
Employee Engagement
  • Own / drive a large social-impact initiative that drives total employment engagement, culture, and community connection.
  • Examine opportunities to improve our company annual engagement score through visibility and connection to our employees.
  • Lead standard and regular employee stay-interviews both 1-1 and small focus groups to ensure employees have a voice, share thoughts and ideas and feel included.
  • Leads effective and timely communication with leadership and employees on significant, relevant changes in HR policies and practices.
What You’ll Need:
  • BS or equivalent certifications and experience (SPHR/PHR or HRCI Certification highly preferred)
  • 5 years of proven, advancing experience leading and guiding people and managers
  • 2+ years of quality people management experience, developing high performance HR teams.
  • A proven history driving programs as a subject matter expert, utilizing relationship-building abilities, and a passion to create and implement programs for our fast-scaling business.
  • Strong business mindset with ability to leverage that knowledge in strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders that allows for influence without authority.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal guidance or direct supervision yet also a team player at heart, ready to collaborate and give/receive support across HR, recruiting, payroll, finance, operations, and other corporate teams.
  • Demonstrated experience working with all levels of an organization, particularly the executive level.
  • Possesses unquestionable personal integrity, fairness, and inclusivity.
  • Ability to gain trust of business leaders across the organization.
  • Performance-driven leader with outstanding communication skills.
  • Experience building a positive culture across distributed and multicultural teams.

  • Related management and business/industry work experience in real estate and property management or similar customer service-based environment managing a high-volume non-exempt employee audience.
  • Expert-level knowledge of on-site property management best practices in areas of leasing, property management and other cross-functional support areas
  • Problem solving/overcoming objections and general customer service.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite application and HRIS program applications and a proven track record demonstrating analysis and pattern tracking data to inform and set priorities and identify challenges/opportunities.

Individual compensation is based on various factors, including experience, education, skillset, and geographic location.
