You are invited to apply to lead our 2nd location located in Richmond as General Facility Manager (GM). The perfect candidate will have his/her eye towards first leading this location, and then taking over as our Regional Manager to plan and manage our continued growth moving forward with other locations.
Legacy Work Spaces Richmond is a unique concept that combines print and copy technology with work spaces such as office suites, co-working, virtual mail, and meeting space. Here are the basics:
Starting Salary: $60,000with another $60,000 in incentive bonuses and additional paid days off!
Time Off: 5 Days Paid Off in the first year, 10 days paid off in the second year, and 12 days paid off after that. Additional paid days off can be earned through our bonus and incentive program and this might be as many as 12 more days a year starting in year one. In addition to this, we also have various holidays off/closed and scaled back hours during the holiday season (see below).
Job Starts: We are in the process of building right now, and we are tentatively scheduled to open in June of 2024 but this job will start in late May. Drive by our location at 8315 FM 723 in Richmond to take a look!
Days and Hours of Operation: We are a M-F 8am to 5pm business. We are closed on New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve (in some circumstances), and Christmas Day. These are paid days off. We have scaled back hours as well for the week between Christmas and New Years so you can spend a little extra time with your family or friends during that time of year.
At this time we do not offer retirement or health but this can be earned as we grow.
Job Description:
You will lead the entire print operation for this location. You will be ultimately responsible for running the print/copy side, taking orders, fulfilling orders in a timely fashion, managing the staff, managing the equipment and machines, ordering supplies, trouble-shooting machine issues at a basic level, dealing with customers and tenants, setting and meeting goals, knowing our competition, suggesting good ideas to management, keeping up with modern and future trends to keep us ahead of the game, and putting an emphasis on excellent customer service and timely delivery of a good product.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage the daily/weekly/monthly goals for printing and fulfillment to ensure that company meets weekly capacity, scheduling and delivery requirements.
- Responsible for 6 direct reports over 2 shift operation.
- Lead, coach and develop high performing team members.
- Continuously identify areas for process improvement, evaluate, and make adjustments as you run your business.
- Budgetary responsibilities.
- Evaluate and justify equipment and supply needs.
- Report regularly on production status.
- Serve as the “Face of” this location ; attending networking events in the community
- Understanding and knowing our total concept, and all avenues to revenue
Qualifications include:
- Minimum of 3 years' production or operations management experience in digital printing.
- Good technical knowledge of digital and commercial offset printing, prepress, and binding operations.
- Must have experience with wide format printing and finishing.
- Must be able to operate all equipment in the print center and train others.
- Experience implementing and developing continuous improvement practices to improve efficiencies, reduce waste and down time.
- Excellent communication skills engaging with hourly and management personnel.
- Strong leadership, mentoring and employee training skills.
- Excellent decision-making abilities.
- Budgetary and P&L experience.
- PC and Mac proficient, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Experience and proficiency in Fiery Software
- General IT and tech knowledge (macro level)
- Basic knowledge of graphic design (as it pertains to copy/print)
Experience is a must, and that will be the first question we ask as we need to immediately disqualify candidates who do not bring serious experience in print/copy to this location.
