The annual base salary for this position ranges from $88,800.00 in our lowest geographic market to $199,700.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a proactive and team-oriented Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager who will lead day-to-day safety and compliance operations for Converse Distribution Center (DC) in Ontario, CA. The EHS Manager will implement and educate on established EHS programs to provide a safe and secure workplace for both employees and the temporary workforce employed at the distribution center. There will be supervision of OSHA regulations to ensure the site is actively involved in solving for emerging issues and poised to address new and modified regulations.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As the EHS Manager, you will lead our resiliency programs and the First Responder Team for any emergency response protocols for the DC. For our P IT (Powered Industrial Trucks) training, this individual will facilitate driver orientation and Safety training as well as ensure that PIT drivers have their operating certificates up-to-date by facilitating both theory and practical classes for all PITs in the building, including fall arrest systems.
In addition, you will own the direction and execution of all safety programs and policies including conducting safety training for employees, providing safety metrics date for site Leadership team and respond to incidents and conduct investigations. As an EHS Manager, you will participate as Nike's representative in global EHS programs and initiatives, including written program development and implementation. You'll serve as the facility point-of-contact for federal, state and regional Health and Safety agencies and assist operations in addressing audit recommendations.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
The EHS Manager will report to the Director, Environment, Health & Safety. You will be working in close partnership with our global EHS and Resilience team.
As an EHS Manager, there may be a requirement of working extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, to respond to incidents or as otherwise needed. This position works in a dynamic industrial environment and requires the ability to walk and work in all parts of the distribution warehouse and outside during all weather conditions, as necessary to perform the function of the role.
WHAT YOU BRING
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational / Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, Emergency Management or related field, or equivalent work-related experience.
- 4-8 years practical experience with Health and Safety compliance at a large global company with elite safety programs.
- Detailed knowledge of OHSA and California Worker's Compensation regulations as well as other applicable industry environmental, Health and Safety standards.
- Proficiency in conducting safety investigations and writing policies and Safety alerts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage federal, state and local regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to audit facilities as well as assist effectively and thoroughly in addressing audit findings.
- Demonstrated ability to manage recordkeeping and Health & Safety (H&S) metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to work at all levels of the organization and with people of various backgrounds, experience, and education levels.
- Knowledge of ERP database platform (e.g. SAP, SharePoint), Tableau, Intelex.
Preferred:
- Certification in an EH&S related field and/or further education is a plus.
- Warehouse experience is a plus.
