THRIFT STORE SUPERVISOR POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Thrift Store Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Store Manager with all daily operations, including merchandising, pricing, marketing, supervising, scheduling, sales and training. In the absence of the Store Manager, this position will assume the manager’s duties.

THRIFT STORE SUPERVISOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist the Store Manager to oversee general store operations relating to merchandising, inventory control, training, and sales.
- Assist cashiers and help in the register area, as needed.
- Communicate regularly with the Store Manager about store issues.
- Responsible for daily cash handling, credit card transactions and bookkeeping including night drop deposits in the store manager's absence.
- Actively engage customers on the sales floor to increase donations and merchandise sales to ensure monthly revenue goals are met.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers and donors and responding to customer inquiries/complaints.
- Promote repeat business and word-of-mouth advertising through building excellent customer relations.
- Ensure employees, CLDP and volunteers are properly trained in store operations and procedures.
- Ensures physical maintenance, cleanliness and attractiveness of store and displays.
- Enforce and maintain safety and all health and security policies and procedures.
- Conducts tasks and other projects as assigned by the Thrift Store Manager.

THRIFT STORE SUPERVISOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation(s) may be made to allow differently abled individuals to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Requires manual dexterity for regular repetitive finger motion and frequently reaching, pulling, pushing and lifting of objects and operating equipment.
- Requires regular standing, walking, sitting, crouching, stooping, speaking, hearing and seeing.?
- Requires ability to operate a pallet jack & Forklift.
- May be exposed to handling hazardous materials such as broken glass.
THRIFT STORE SUPERVISOR WORK ENVIRONMENT:
In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. - This position works predominantly indoors in a store, warehouse or dock environment all of which are high traffic settings involving people, equipment and/or machinery.
- The area is generally clean, orderly, properly lighted, ventilated and does have constant foot traffic from employees, volunteers, vendors and visitors.
- May be exposed to dust in the performance of certain duties.
- Noise levels are considered moderate to high.
THRIFT STORE SUPERVISOR EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSURES:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of Thrift Store experience or retail operations.
- Two years shift supervision, preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean DMV record and the ability to be added to the company auto policy.
THRIFT STORE SUPERVISOR KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Fluency in Spanish, both verbal and written, a plus.
- Must have strong customer service skills.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Must have strong time management skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be able to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
- Must be able to be an effective team member and handle project leadership responsibility.
- Must be able to occasionally travel locally.
