The Manager of Public Safety/Security & Emergency Preparedness Coordinator will assist the Director of Plant Operations by supervising and directing the operation of the Security Department. Will provide day-to-day supervision and management of the Security staff. Will ensure that all requirements, regulations and documentation involving the security department is completed. Will secure and protect the patients, visitors, staff, building, and property. Will investigate and submit reports on assaults, thefts, damage to personal and facility property, and all related security issues. Assists the staff in the handling of combative persons and situations. Will maintain communication with the local law enforcement agencies. As the disaster planner, this position responsible for implementing all local city/county or federal grants' requirements in the facility. Activities must be coordinated in accordance of the local agency's requirements that implement the programs for their respective community or county.
Education and Work Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- BVP within 6 months of hire and maintain current annually.
- Certification for ICS/NIMS and HICS within 6 months of hire.
- Two years college degree preferred.
- Two Years experience in healthcare security supervision work or related field.
- PC 832 / Level 1 law enforcement training or higher.
- Reserve Deputy / Police Officer experience. Can be substituted for experience with the Department of Corrections, Military Law Enforcement, or healthcare security management.
Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):
- State Drivers license upon hire.
- Current DMV H6 report
San Dimas Community Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $62,400.00 to $79,726.40 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
