Position Summary
The E-Commerce Operations Manager is critical to the success of our omnichannel development and growth with our retail partners. This role will be responsible for managing and optimizing our direct-to-consumer business processes, ensuring a seamless experience at all touchpoints that will drive efficiency and revenue growth. We are looking for a fast, effective teammate to work cross-functionally internally and externally within Metrolina to develop and streamline tasks and processes, maximize activities to meet and exceed e-comm KPI’s and deliver year over year growth.
Job Description
- Establish and maintain e-commerce processes across various retail channels and site locations.
- Oversee the order fulfillment process to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers.
- Monitor and adjust inventory levels to meet demand efficiently, minimizing shortages and overstock.
- Work with marketing teams to strategize and execute online marketing initiatives, optimizing item listings and enhancing the customer journey.
- Analyze product listings, make recommendations, and implement adjustments based on performance data.
- Lead and mentor an e-commerce team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Build relationships with cross-functional teams within the organization.
- Focus on improving the online customer experience, from initial engagement to post-purchase support.
- Utilize analytics to track e-commerce performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely development and execution of products and services.
- Ensure adherence to marketplace policies and guidelines, communicating and implementing necessary changes within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, supply chain or related field.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience in managing e-commerce operations.
- Ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Skilled in using tools for data analysis and generating reports for decision making.
- Understanding of industry regulations and knowledge of best practices in e-commerce.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in software like Microsoft, Adobe, and Digital Asset Management (DAM), with the ability to adapt and learn customer interfaces.
- Experience with online/retail merchandising and digital marketing is a plus.
- Knowledge of horticulture or related industries is advantageous.
