Job description

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for the digital footprint for our iconic brand. This position will work to define and execute our Digital Marketing strategy in collaboration with the broader team. Main responsibilities will be encouraging business growth by strengthening and protecting Portillo’s reputation through multiple channel social media engagement, creation, and execution of ad campaigns, and owning our email marketing program. This role will be responsible for working closely and cross-functionally among the marketing team and broader RSC to ensure digital strategies are executed accurately and efficiently.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Lead organic social media strategy and content calendar and engages with fans daily. Partners with Ever Creative team to align on creative content creation.

·       Create and update content for portillos.com including general page content, blog posts, and merch drops.

·       Partner with internal PR team to engage with influencers on new campaign launches.

·       Manage paid media efforts and partner with our agency to develop, implement, and optimize Digital Marketing programming including SEO, email, retargeting, and social media to drive direct online orders.  Manage relationship with digital advertising agency.

·       Produce and implement all email campaigns, including building emails from templates and HTML, copywriting, asset coordination, QA, and scheduling.

·       Manage strategy and targeting for online ordering customers. This includes email/push/SMS/in-app messaging for recurring, triggered and dynamic content-driven campaigns. Ensure the content calendar is integrated in all in-app messaging points.

·       Manage and interpret weekly reporting for all CRM channels, including engagement metrics and elevating recommendations for next actions/strategies based on key results/insights.

·       Partner with People team to create recruitment marketing initiatives and support our employer branding goals.

·       Support New Restaurant Openings with social content, sneak peek invitations, recruitment, location data management, and building brand awareness in new markets.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Level/Certifications

·       Bachelor’s degree

Work Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

·       5+ years’ experience with B2C marketing and social media management experience.

·       Experience with Google Ads Manager, GA4, Facebook Business Manager and other paid media tools and dashboards.

·       Thinks critically and has a deep understanding of social media and digital content creation. Inspires others through their vision.

·       Experience with end-to-end CRM campaign management and loyalty platforms.

·       Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud

·       Experience with Location data management tools is a plus.

·       Experience working cross functionally with internal teams.

·       Demonstrated organization skills, leadership, project management, and planning skills

·       Leads change by constantly looking for new ways to improve overall programs through new technology, tools, partners, trends

·       Proficient in data analytics to determine meaningful data and be able to suggest improvements.

·       Communicates clearly and effectively in written and verbal formats.

·       Strong analytic and strategic thinking skills. Creates accountability by holding self and others responsible for performance.

·       A genuine love for the Portillo’s brand.

Travel Requirement

  • Minimal (10% of role) will be traveling to various Portillo’s restaurants, attending marketing events, and some New Restaurant Openings.
