  • Responsibilities

    The M·A·C Global Consumer Engagement team is looking for an experienced, beauty & culture-obsessed Manager, to support owned, earned, and paid strategies across social channels for the Skin & Face categories.

A legacy word-of-mouth brand, M·A·C remains at the forefront of culture via an earned-first media model to connect with new and existing audiences. A keen eye for global trends, owned social platform strategy and execution are critical to this role. The position requires an in-depth understanding of the social ecosystem worldwide, with a focus on developing breakthrough owned social channel strategies and effective influencer integration supporting relevant product launches and core M·A·C values.

    Specifically, this role will support the Skin and Face categories by developing the Consumer Engagement strategy, managing owned social strategy and execution, managing partnerships, building strong relationships with regional counterparts, and leveraging data measurement tools & analysis to develop strategic insights.

    The role will also contribute to 360 global marketing strategy in collaboration with cross-functional teams. To ensure excellence in execution, this role will be responsible for identifying and coordinating ongoing touchpoints with regions to workshop global strategy, support local adaptation, and highlight best practices.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Develop owned and earned social strategy, create, and deploy global toolkits as required.
    • Drive the ideation, strategy, execution, and reporting on owned social strategy globally.
    • In-depth knowledge of the social media landscape, with experience developing and executing owned social strategies in a high volume, integrated team environment. Internally lead consistent identification and testing of different content formats and strategies.
    • In-depth knowledge of the influencer landscape, with experience identifying and managing partnerships that align to brand objectives and overall brand equity, at times in collaboration with an external agency partner. Internally lead consistent expansion and evolution of the M·A·C global influencer network to reach and engage with new audiences.
    • Strong data literacy, leveraging analytic tools (e.g., Dash Hudson, Tribe Dynamics etc.), to develop key learnings, insights, and recommendations to optimize for success. Present to cross functional teams and Leadership as needed.
    • Technical understanding of the functionality related to each social media platform (e.g., TikTok, Instagram & YouTube), leading internal updates on new platform capabilities and competitive analysis as needed.
    • Work in partnership with cross functional global teams to request and strategize owned content and programming opportunities to support key brand moments.
    • Create global product seeding strategy based on marketing objectives, serve as global cross-functional lead and regional point of contact for all creative development and product logistics.
    • Partner with cross-functional working teams to manage social marketing/influencer global experiences and activations (e.g., global launch events).
    • Drive innovative, best-in-class thinking across all global Consumer Engagement strategy.

    Qualifications

    • Four-year college degree or equivalent (preferably in a related field).
    • Excellent communication, writing and data analytics skills.
    • 5+ years with culture-driving brands, beauty, lifestyle or otherwise, building social marketing/influencer strategy and execution (e.g., content calendar development, content scheduling + trafficking, reporting, product mailer development, paid partnerships, brand events/experiences, etc.).
    • Strong strategic thinking, impeccable budget & project management skills.
    • Team leadership and people management skills. Highly collaborative with ability to successfully manage cross-functional programs.
    • TikTok native – understanding of social media inside and out as an avid user of all platforms.
    • Experience working with content management tools and/or social media analytics tools a plus.
    • Capacity to work in fast-paced environment with ambiguity, multiple stakeholders, and across various programs, while ensuring strategies/goals are understood and met.
    • Ability to work with regional and local teams with a strong understanding of cultural nuances.
    • Capability to sometimes work outside of regular business hours to accommodate global time zones and the real-time nature of this role.
    • Community management experience, particularly with a global brand account, a plus.
    • Bilingual candidates, a plus.

    The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,500 to $135,500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
