Manager, Capture and Proposal: REMOTE POSITION
Defense and Government Solutions (DGS) is seeking a creative and talented Manager, Capture and Proposal to join our high-performing growth team. In this position you will be responsible for targeting the Federal Government to market, identify, develop, qualify, and capture new business opportunities for DGS.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITIES:
Manager, Capture and Proposal will develop business by reaching out to professional networks, for sales targeting Federal Government Agencies and Departments, to include capturing new business opportunities which will provide contractor services. Their knowledge of customers, understanding of our competitors, and an awareness of the effects on the market overall will drive revenue helping to meet the customers' mission and grow our business.
- Leads capture efforts to secure new, strategic contracts.
- Supporting the development of a healthy, diverse, and sustainable sales pipeline of opportunities
- Analyzes government marketplace to identify business opportunities that match company capabilities and experience.
- Improving capture win rate through continuous improvement of capture best practices.
- Collaborate with proposal and business development professionals on strategic opportunities; analyze customer requirements, competitors, and internal capabilities.
- Apply knowledge of proven best practices in sales, capture, AND PROPOSAL management processes.
- Provide accurate and timely data for weekly opportunity reviews and capture plan updates.
- Forecast opportunity targets, track, and record activity on accounts to close deals.
- Perform market, competitor and price-to-win analysis and strategies.
- Oversee all proposal activities, managing proposal schedules and deadlines, and monitoring the progress of the proposal.
- Integrate the win strategy and solution into a proposal structured for compliance and ease of evaluation.
- Manage and write responses to Government and customer requests for white papers, general product or company information, quotes, AND PROPOSALs.
- Analyze and understand Federal government RFPs and customer requirements and ensure delivery of proposals that meet those requirements.
- Maintains focus on win strategy throughout proposal process and infuses strategy effectively throughout, creating compelling documents to enable large-scale, high-profile wins.
- Maintain high-level understanding of company products and services to act as value-add in proposal development.
- Write, edit, and proofread proposals and related materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, readability, overall consistency of the language, formats, and styles, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and standards.
BASIC QULIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree with concentration in business and 3+ years of demonstrated sales or related experience.
OR
- Advanced Degree in a related field and 4+ years of Business Development experience.
- Operates with the highest level of personal integrity.
- Computer literate; familiar with general PC software (e.g., Windows, MS Office)
- Knowledge & experience of Federal & Defense Industry Contracting and an understanding of FAR/DFAR.
- Good written and oral English language skills.
- 50% domestic and overseas travel as required.

- Able to empathetically communicate Customer expectations.
- Experience with Government IT Services' requirements and needs.
- Experience with GovWin, Fed Biz Ops, Fed Connect, and/or similar systems.
- Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. To obtain a clearance, the candidate will need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
