• Implement company shortage and safety programs and directives.
• Take a proactive approach to innovate, develop, implement, and manage programs to reduce shortage including preventing and detecting issues of theft and dishonesty.
• Drive shortage reduction plans and shortage program compliance for assigned regions.
• Manages resolution of shortage opportunities based on high level analysis of regional shortage.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with business partners including but not limited to Human Resources and Operations at all levels of the company.
• Ensure the adherence to company policy and procedures and investigate violations of Asset Protection and Company policy and procedures.
• Drive compliance of data security and safety related guidelines and issues.
• Manage multiple levels of information while maintaining the appropriate levels of confidentiality.
• Act to secure sensitive information.
• Individual serves as subject matter expert on Asset Protection systems, policy, and procedures.
• Directs and supervises external and internal investigations including ORC investigations in accordance with case procedures, standards, and applicable laws.
• Maintains positive relationships between the company and law enforcement personnel.
• Foster an environment of learning to train Associates on system applications, policies, and procedures.
• Lead training classes as required with a growth mindset approach.
• People manager responsibilities, including, but not limited to: hiring decisions, performance management (appraisals/goals/corrective action/coaching/development), training, and/or scheduling.
• Identify and develop next level talent.
• Provides direction and training for all Store Asset Protection Teams within assigned regions.
• Involvement in the evaluation process of all Store Asset Protection Teams within assigned regions.
• Ensures that all associates receive Asset Protection awareness training within assigned regions.
• Ensure strong awareness culture is in place in stores without Asset Protection staffing within assigned regions.
• Manage and allocate Asset Protection budgeted resources within assigned regions.
• Manage the effective utilization and operability of all security systems.
• Manage projects on schedule and within budget, including new store openings, remodels and closings.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned with a teamwork and collaborative approach.
• All Associates are expected to follow all government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Minimum Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree and/or 4 or more years of equivalent experience
- Specific Certifications: Wicklander-Zulawski
- Intermediate working knowledge of business applications such as Tableau, Oracle BI Publisher, Data Warehouse
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Masters degree and/or 6 to 8 equivalent years of experience
- 5+ years of Asset Protection Experience
- Preferred Certifications: LPQ, LPC, or CFI
- Investigative Interview Training
- Prior diversity and cultural sensitivity training are a strong plus
- Experience with exception based reporting and other analytical tools
- Experience investigating Organized Retail Crime is strongly desired
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook

- Must possess a demonstrated understanding of general and civil liability.
- Strong in person and telephone interview skills are required.
