The Analytics & Forecasting Manager will play a pivotal role in helping to build the forecast for our total product assortment and monitoring performance across channels including d2c & wholesale with the support of the Demand Planning Director. This role will help set up demand planning standards, optimizing forecast accuracy, and improving product availability. You are expected to use a data-driven approach to draw your conclusions and continuously improve our planning process.
This role is hybrid (open to remote) and reports into the Director of Demand Planning. Only open to candidates based in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help build and validate the accurate forecast of all SKUs at the correct sales channel level, including new product launches, phase-ins, phase-outs, discos, DIFs, testers, inventory adjustments and promotions
- Proactively identify new data sources that will improve decision making & increase forecast accuracy utilizing internal tools such as Power BI
- Ensure forecast is reflective of updated Direct to Consumer and Wholesale sales trends, current Wholesale account plans (and their respective Stock on Hand) and any updates to Region, product or Channel growth strategies
- Review and synthesize monthly updates to month, quarter and year end targets, including continuous understanding and communication of risks and opportunities to achievement of business goals
- Actively engage in the sales forecasting process, demand planning process, and demand review meetings as part of the monthly S&OP process
- Provide input to the Production Planning and Inventory Management process owners in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and active product phase-outs to achieve optimal inventory levels, and ultimately improve customer service/satisfaction level
- Monitor performance vs. the forecast throughout the month identifying any key shifts or trends. Analyze forecast variation/deviation with the goal to maximize service while minimizing out of stocks
- Troubleshoot demand plan gaps, out of stocks and fill rate exceptions to resolve with Supply Chain Team partners
- Measure performance with all necessary KPIs such as Forecast Accuracy, deviation and bias
- Build and maintain dashboards/reports that are accurate, intuitive, actionable and provide business partners insight into performance/highlights across programs
5+ years of experience managing demand planning for big box retailers or consumer products
Advanced knowledge of reporting systems including but not limited to eCommerce, Business Intelligence (e.g. Power BI), and ERP (e.g. Netsuite)
Experience in managing and consolidating large data sets and translating it to actionable information
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g. reporting, pivot tables, graphs & charts) and forecast modeling tools (e.g. Netstock, Cloud Smoothie)
Demonstrated success in persuasion, influence and negotiation skills

This is the anticipated salary range for this position. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a few factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
