Job Description

Our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) portfolio is a powerhouse collection of consumer-first brands, supported by media industry leaders, Comcast, NBCUniversal and Sky. This position will be on Peacock's Advanced Content and Editorial Analytics team with a focus on streaming content from leading NBCU TV brands like NBC and Bravo. The role will have a charter to generate impactful content performance insights for NBCU's Entertainment portfolio and provide ongoing consultation to key decision-making stakeholders. You will have a deep impact on content investment, development, programming, and windowing decisions. As Manager, you will work in a high-visibility and fast-paced environment, delivering insights, presentations, and analyses across the NBCU Entertainment/Peacock organization. Furthermore, you will help guide the production of relevant, creative, and impactful data products, including high-touch content dashboards. This role will have a tangible impact on Peacock's growth and success as it establishes itself as a major player in the global streaming landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Query and analyze complex data sets (1st-3rd party) to develop content and customer insights that drive programming and editorial decision-making
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders across the NBCU Entertainment and Peacock landscape to define business needs, craft analytic approaches, and develop data solutions  
  • Generate ad-hoc analyses to answer critical and time-sensitive business questions, identifying areas of strategic opportunity
  • Build scalable reporting solutions that leverage data visualization tools to create self-service environments for stakeholders
  • Synthesize complex analyses, KPIs, and concepts into digestible presentations for a variety of audiences, including key stakeholders and executive leaders
  • Take ownership of projects from planning through execution and delivery, collaborating with partners to ensure deliverables align with business needs
  • Evangelize performance stories, data democratization and data-driven decision making throughout the organization
  • Help contribute to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work culture at Peacock

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of analytical experience working with large, complex data sets and analytical tools
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel and at least one programming language used for data analysis preferred (e.g., R, Python)
  • Familiarity with 3rd party media data sets; Nielsen products (i.e., NPower, NNTV, Gracenote), comScore, Antenna, MRI, Parrot, etc.
  • Knowledge of Tableau or equivalent data-visualization tools
  • Passion for scripted and reality television/streaming content
  • Strategic thinker with ability to derive conclusions and recommendations from raw data 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team oriented and collaborative with an aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Strong sense of curiosity, accountability, and ability to execute projects of all sizes with vision & purpose
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or other relevant quantitative fields
  • Experience with statistical modeling and/or advanced data science techniques is a plus

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
